This may have already been said, but for LeBron to equal what KD did, LeBron would've had to leave Cleveland and join the Celtics.

As far as which is "worse"...2015-16 OKC Thunder would've beat the 2009-10 Cavs in a 7 game playoff series, and either the 2014-15 Warriors or 2015-16 Warriors would've easily swept the 2009-10 Miami Heat. Although Bosh came with LeBron to Miami, that team wasn't stacked with:

- One of the best new coaches in the NBA (so people say)
- the back-to-back reigning regular season MVP
- Three 2015-16 All Star selections
- and a roster that played in two consecutive NBA Finals, winning in 2015, and falling just short in 2016, after a 73-9 record.

Hey, at least when LeBron made his decision, the Boys and Girls Club got some money out of it.

Did Lebron help break the ice for superstars to make moves like this?

Jordan, Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, Magic, Bird, Hakeem, etc, etc. None of these guys while in their primes deliberately decided to team up with multiple all stars in order to get over the hump.

Perhaps a little karma coming back to Lebron? Might spend the rest of his career getting thrashed by an all star team?

Magic? They drafted Shaq and Penny. How is that comparable? Get a refund on your history book.

There's not even a comparison between the 2!

LeBron's was a media circuit, made an hour long special on ESPN with a sitdown with Jim Gray to fill 55 of those 60 minutes before making the announcement, and that whole Thursday or Friday whatever day of the week it happened on, you couldn't go anywhere near a sports channel/sports site without hearing the suits talking about it.

Durant made his announcement on a website that he's a contributor on, and really I had no idea he had even made the announcement until I was listening to those sports briefs at the top of every hour on the SiriusXM sports channels.

imagine a last second change of plans, kd to CLEVELAND lol how funny would that be? if kd wanted to win a title he should have went to cleveland because adding him to cleve makes them more of a favorite to win the title than gsw without kd. cle beat gsw without durant, so if you added him, what would have happened? easy title.

Spoken like a true Lebron hater.

Ridiculous to compare.

Some of those guys were just on stacked teams to begin with. One needed an early retirement. One failed miserably until a trade saved his legacy.

Every player has a different situation. Some are basically born into good situations, some get lucky and some have to make their luck.

If anything, a bigger factor may be players getting paid more money off the court these days then on it. Allows for players to take pay cuts for the betterment of the team.

"Lebron hater" - such a simplistic and silly statement.

You can make all the excuses you want, but it's a fact that Lebron was the first potential top 10 or top 5 all time player to attempt constructing a super team in his prime. It worked for him. Durant is essentially doing the same thing. Like I said, perhaps Lebron (and now Durant) helped lead the way for players to make that type of move. Eventually we may expect the best players to team up when given the chance.

Neither of them were worst. LeBron won two championships as a result of leaving Cleveland. We have to wait and see what happens with Kevin Durant.
