Hey!

My family is relocating to the area and while we like Columbia and Ellicott Sity, we just don't see any new apartments there. So we've narrowed it down to Owings Mills.

That being said, we want our kids to go to Catholic school. What Catholic schools do you Owings Mills residents send your kids to?

How is Holy Family in Randallstown? It's close but I can't seem to find much info on it.

Try Sacred Heart Church in Glyndon, it is a very vibrant parish, Located north of Owings Mills.

Thank you for the reply. I will check out that parish but we are looking for a parish with a school.

Thanks again.

There are plenty of apartments in Columbia and Ellicott City, and the public schools are better regarded.

But since you are interested in Catholic schools, I will have this to say:

Your two options are Holy Family in Randallstown and Sacred Heart in Glyndon. These two are very different schools.

Holy Family used to be a quintessential suburban parochial school, but in the last ten years it's gone from overwhelmingly white to overwhelmingly black. The school's teetered on closing for a few years now, but last I heard, it's committed to the upcoming year. Academics are generally well-regarded with several excellent teachers who have been at Holy Family for decades. The school will be glad to take your children as enrollment is still low.

Glyndon is white, suburban and considerably more affluent than Holy Family. Very good academics. Competition for places will be stiff.

Wow thanks! I don't know how I missed Sacred Heart. It looks exactly like what we're looking for. I like the apartments in the Owings Mills area better, only because they are newer.

I also have appointments with Resurrection-St. Paul, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and St. Louis School.

Thanks again.
