The lift AND propulsion is provided by the wings = helicopter

Flying = airborne, not on the ground, weight supported by the wings!

It is flying, and it is a helicopter.

And, it is amazing. What a wonderful project! 4 rotors, one powerplant (bicyclist), and all so LIGHT!

Anyone else think it was funny the "pilot" was wearing spandex in an event that drag would be unmeasureable?

To be clear that wasn't flying, that was hovering. Flying is much more than what was shown in that video.

To be accurate a hover is a phase of flight.
