Make, model and year of the car would help in diagnosis.
Although. The most common problem is low on fluid. Pay attention to both the type and quantity of fluid, you probably need to add considerably less than 1 quart.
Start the car, leave in park, needs to be in a more or less level place, use the dipstick to check level. Some have a "cold" and "hot" level, some don't, if not labeled, the level markings are for hot.
Add less than 1/4 of a quart of fluid at a time. Do not overfill.
When buying the fluid, know the make, model and year of the car, there are about a half-dozen types of ATF out there, use the right one. "Multi-vehicle" "fit-all" products are BS.
I agree with Mitch (again, lol). Check fluid level first, and fill if needed. Other than that, it's not lookin too good for ya..
