Yes, as long as one can afford it makes sense to have fun before one dies. But I would have preferred a lightweight 2022 Toyota dual turbo 6-cylinder engine instead of the V8 used
Cars that are designed from the ground up to be EVs have a "skateboard" chassis that keeps the battery and motor(s) weight real low and centered fore/aft, plus properly supports the weight of the battery pack, which these days, is likely to be an advanced structural battery pack that's doing double duty. If I want an EV, I want one that has the full benefits of a proper EV platform, not some Frankenstein creation out of a speed shop.
I am not opposed to the idea of converting a classic car to become an electric vehicle. In fact, I would rather convert an old car than drive a new EV...

That's one good point, at least it would look good. Many of the current crop of EV's look like the designers intentionally made them ugly.
