Here's what I've done the past.
1) Load motorcycle into van.
2) Drive van to drop off point.
3) Unload motorcycle and ride home.
4) Drive car from home to drop off point.
5) Drive van home.

Here's a suggestion that's a variation of the above:
1- one or more days before the dropoff date, YOU drive car1 to the shop, and have a companion drive car2 to the shop.

2 - leave car2 at the shop.
3 - your companion returns with you in car1.
4 - on the day of the car maintenance, simply drive car1 to the shop. You now have car2 there waiting for you
