This has nothing to do with reliability.
All it means is that it has a good infotainment interface.
In 2020 "quality" surveys have pretty much jumped the shark.
There's little to nothing to report in the way of actual issues, so this is what it's come down to.
J.D. Power surveys the owners of new cars with a questionnaire that covers 223 problems organized into nine categories: climate, driving assistance, driving experience, exterior, features/controls/displays, infotainment, interior, powertrain and seats.

Ok, one thing that may have something to do with reliabilty.
Otherwise it doesn't.
I believe Cadillac was next to last in 2019, now it's above average. In one year. With basically the same cars. Yeah.
There's one thing you can count on. Land Rover being at or near the bottom of any survey no matter who does it.
Everyone else jumps around from year to year.

This is one of the dumbest surveys on the planet and it means nothing, and the JD Power folks are good people so that is not a knock on them. 90% of the “problems” noted on these surveys are not really problems at all.
Often times like Eaton53 stated it’s people reporting “issues” with multimedia interfaces or things not working as they are used to such as things like perceived “false positives” with forward collision warning systems, etc.
Think about this, how many people do you know, out of 100, who buy a new car and need to take it back to the dealer for a warranty repair in the first 90- days? Maybe a few out of 100? Yet according to this, on average, there are ~ 150 PP100 so that means it averages to be EVERY new car buyer is running to the shop at least once in the first 90-days, and half of new car buyers have to do that twice. Uuuummmm,, yeah.......ok......

It jumps around because the sample size is so small and that leads to huge variability in responses. Always has....

Yea, pretty much. When Ford introduced several years ago their infotainment thing, it was full of bugs, and this resulted in a large slide in such ratings. I was surprised when I saw the ratings, but upon reading, all centered around this stuff, nothing to do with the rest of the car which was fine (Explorer if I recall correctly).
