I am not familiar with selling vehicles and need some help. I want to sell my truck but I don't know if people put adds in the paper anymore, or is it basically just done on the internet. I started to put one today on used cars Oregon something or other, but I was nervous listing my credit card with the website for the payment to run the add, I did not see a phone number to call them. Does anyone have any information on this, any other time I was selling a vehicle I was trading it in at a dealer to get another one, Not sure how to do it as a private sale. Thank you.

You can put it in the paper, some still read them, internet IMO seems to be catching up though.

You could also list it on ebay, but it costs to do it. It's like $50 to list and $50 if it sells IIRC.

Or you could put it on craigslist for free, make sure you post pics.

Also see what it's listed as value wise in nada guids, kbb, edmunds.....all too often S-10's are overpriced.

Have you considered either of these, OREGONRAIN?

Buy New & Used Cars, Research Prices, Sell My Car, Find Auto Dealers or Used Cars, New Cars, Buy a Car, Sell a Car, Car Dealers - AutoTrader.com

You may want to check with your local papers because some offer packages of a traditional ad plus the internet.

Good Luck

I just bought a used Volvo today - found it on craigslist! And, yeah, the pics really helped.

Heck, why not throw an ad in the City-Data classifieds with a few pics? I know of another member that sold her Jeep and a motorcycle by listing them in there. It's a freebie and worth a shot.
