Not at first and maybe not ever. The diesel is planned for introduction a few months after the launch. We shall see if it ever makes it due to the increased scrutiny.

Considering how the Chevy Colorado is moving forward without issue and this Jag diesel engine is on their website I think it will showup.

Looks like a twist knob gearshift. Reminds me of the push button Dodge and Rambler we had years ago.

Perhaps but the latest news is that the Colorado diesel has been put on hold pending further testing by the EPA and CARB. Now that doesn't mean it won't be approved but all diesels will now be under more scrutiny.

This is nothing new with Jaguar; they've had it on other models for years.

Why do all crossovers look the same now? Is it a Mazda? Hyundai? Kia? Can't tell without looking at the distinctive headlights

This is pretty standard for Jaguar for many years. Some Land Rover products also have this style gear shift (Evoque and Discovery Sport). I believe the F-PACE is based on the same Evoque platform, but uses different powertrains to delivery much higher performance.
