Adjusting your mirrors properly is the best "blind spot" detection. "Blind spot" is something made up by bad drivers. You should not see ANY of your own vehicle in your own side mirror.

Go to Wal-Mart and get the $1 blind spot mirrors. Those things are the MOST USEFUL thing I have ever seen. Both of my vehicles have them. I'm glad that some companies are now starting to include them on their vehicles.

Are you talking about side view mirrors or a backup camera?

Sounds like he is talking about an actual system, with a buzzer or a light in the dash/mirror that will say "Hey dummy, there is a car there"

I have my Odyssey for 8 years, and I never felt the need for blind spot. As previous posters mention, adjusting your rear view mirrors are key to your visibility and awareness.

I do suggest getting an aftermarket clip-on rearview mirror so you have a wider field of vision.
