We are not TELLING him to do squat. We simply explained what is may take. Like GL said - it goes down to tools and adventuresome nature. When I started with cars in 1990, I had about 4 tools and had no clue wdf I am doing, but I did, and did, and di, until I learned this, then that, then more, then even more, and so on. Like the Great Helmsman Mao said - in order to learn how to swim, you must swim.
Which, honestly, I am not even sure you have to go through all that engine turning procedure. Again, for RX300, they tell you to take plenum off and charge for 4 hrs of labor plus parts. And I figured that if I simply scoot throttle body off to the side, which is 15 minutes 4 bolts, I have enough space to stick my right hand behind the engine block and do the job.
That' s up to OP to do, or not to do. It's a choice between becoming a real tree shade mech or being Dairy Queened by mechs for the rest of his life.
Your awesome as well. Your a great mechanic and have total knowledge. Point is like I posted above reread my original post.

Yea, the rear ones are no fun. You have to remove the upper dogbone engine mount, put the car in neutral, and pull the engine forward, jam a piece of wood in there to keep it there. (There is an actual gm tool that goes where the engine mount was, but it's not worth buying for one job)

They do make special pliers and tools to remove plug boots without damaging them, but with your mileage, I'd just replace the wires anyway.

There is a specific part of your anatomy that you're more than welcome to pucker up, then bend over and place firmly on a certain part of my anatomy, loser.

OP - does the engine run rough, stall, get bad fuel economy or any of the other symptoms of spark plug, wire or coil failure. If not, just leave the plugs as they are until they really need to be changed. If you do change them use Iridium or Platinium tipped plugs of the correct heat range and gap. Change the wires as well. Dielectric grease and silver anti sieze are your friends.

I have a Subaru. The plugs are easy to get to if the car is on a lift. I'll just put a lift in the carport. The condo management will be pleased.

A person, like you, who knows no more than you do about automobiles, should just stay out of this forum.
