Some cars have lines on the back window, big line at the very top, and they get smaller as they go down. My '87 Firebird has these on the back glass, and I know the new Chargers do too.

In Texas the law for tint on the windshield is 5" or to the AS-1 line, whichever is closest to the top of the windshield. If your AS-1 line is at 6", then you can only have 5" of tint, though the vast majority of the cops that would stop you and check your tint are only going to be looking at the AS-1 line, no matter if it's more than 5" or not.
