I was explaining to my kids that when I was growing up my parents had a conversion van and even though it was like 5 inches....it had a TV in it. It got me thinking that I haven't seen a new conversion van in years. Did the SUV simply just crush the van market? Did minivans just replace the need for a big van?
I looked on Ebay and there are new ones for sale (one had 7 tvs mounted in headrests/roof) and they come in AWD (Chevy). I can't think of a single person I know that has one or even a neighbor that drives one.
What happened? What are pedophiles going to drive in the future!

We have always had one since we first learned we would be having a babies. after looking at veraious opentions, the best bargain we found was a conversion van. After having one, my wife never wanted anything else. They are alive and well and better (more luxurious) than ever. They are the most comfortable vehicle you cna buy period. We no longer buy the high top ones due to cost, handling, wind issues and aprking issues, but they ahve some advantage. We only ever have one TV. That forces the kids to interact with eacht tother, nto go off into their own little world. TV is only for night driving when there is nothing to see.

They are still readily available, just not as popular to buy a van and have it converted. Now you buy them at the RV dealership. They just call them Class B Vans and charge over $100,00 for them.
