WOW! Still in shock, but so excited and blessed! I entered to win a silver 2012 Civic LX or white 2012 Corolla LE and I WON!!! I had the chance to pick between either, but the interior of the Civic was much more modern and the car is rated higher MPG, but it was a hard decision... I was about to choose the Corolla. The Civic had 5 miles when I pulled out of the parking lot!
The contest was offered by a local Toyota-Honda dealer and our local CBS TV station. All I had to do was "like" them on Facebook (which I already did like the tv station on FB), then I had to go test drive that Avalon I was talking about on another post. They then selected 11 finalists and we had to go to the dealer tonight for the drawing and be on live TV! When they drew the names out, it was ME! I won! I am so excited, I have never won anything before! I am sure I looked like an idiot on TV, but it was worth it.
I have 3 cars, two are 20 years old, one is 17 years old and all have over 200K except one of them and all are gas hogs, so I am so blessed to have won this car! I know they changed the Civic for 2013 and I would really wished it was a 2013 model they gave away, but hey, I won a new car!!!! I dont have to pay sales tax, but have to turn it in on my income, so instead of getting money back like I usually do, I will end up paying. The car stickered for $21,500.

other car I could have chosen... this one had Bluetooth, the Civic dont, but the Civic has a super cool instrument panel and gets better MPG.
Thanks everyone! I am still in shock! I was wondering too and I almost didnt go test drive a car and I almost didnt go today to see if I won! So glad I did. When they said my name I about fell over literally. LOL!!!!
I have been driving a 1995 Lincoln with 210K miles to work and occassionally my 1993 Cadillac to work... both gas hogs! LOL. Finally something that gets 40 mpg!
What a great feeling of shock! Will you keep your gas hogs, sell them, or just put them aside now? How did it feel to drive the Civic out of the dealership?
