any personal comments from your owning the Buick Enclave or the GMC Acadia--how do they compare with the Highland--which looks like a smaller vehicle to me--have not driven any but husband needs to get new car and he likes the SUV over a 4-door for ability to haul stuff at times...

don't think the Ford's quality is going to work for us--don't want to spend what a Lexus costs--but looking for something with 4 captains chairs this time instead of bench seat in back...

I saw an Enclave at the dealership the other day and as far as looks it definitely has them. I think it'll be a love it or hate thing, but I definitely love it (the looks). If you can get a brochure I would highly recommend it. I've never seen that sort of quality in a brochure and it's freaking huge, definitely something that'll get your attention.

I'd like to know how it drives though, maybe I'll try it out just for fun because I can't get a new anything for a while.. I do drive a CUV though (CX-7) and I think they're the way to go. It is above most cars and has some storage in the back, but still can fly around corners with pretty high end cars and accelerates like a car that doesn't weigh 5000+ pounds..

I've been looking at the Outlook myself.

Here's a couple of sites that might help. As usual, take some comments with a grain of salt. I haven't looked for an Enclave site, but I'm sure there's one out there.

Car mags have been pleasantly surprised with the Enclave. They also note that even though it's basically the same vehicle, it's a different beast from the Acadia -- better suspension setup, more sound-deadening materials, better interior quality.

I have drive Crossover vehicles in the past. I would suggest you look into

1. Ford Edge
2. Ford Taurus X
3. Subaru Tribeca
4. Madza CX-9

Ford quality has definitely improved and the above 2 vehicles are great.

The Tahoe hybrid is a 2008 model, or at least it is according to the Tahoe brochure I got at the dealership the other day. They didn't have any in stock though.. and the web page says limited availability in Fall 2007, which is now.. Hybrid Technology: Chevrolet Tahoe: Chevrolet

also, I can't remember where I saw it, but the mileage in those things is still pretty much crap.. but the power output is pretty nice.
