During last years hurricane where I park became a swamp, so I moved it uphill on a side street. Everything turned out okay. But this hurricane is going to be much worse. I don't have many options. I can do like I did last year and hope for the best. I have no garage.

How should I protect my car with all of the flooding that will happen. If I lose my car I am screw*d.

2006 Camry. I wish I had a truck.

Put it back on top of the hill. It's your only option.

A truck does not ensure complete safety in a flood, it sounds like you have done what you can outside of getting rid of the vehicle which you have already stated is not an option.

Disconnect and remove the battery. If your car is going to be flooded, there will be less chance of an electrical short if your battery is removed. Just make sure that everything is dry again before you reconnect the battery, especially the ECU. Good luck.

I'd park a 2006 Camry right next to the coast line and get it totaled out. Put it out of it's misery!

Is there a shopping mall, with a multilevel parking structure, near to you ?? That's where I've parked my car during Irene last year. Going there this afternoon for Sandy. 2nd level near center.

Good advice, but unfortunately nothing local.

During the hurricanes along the Mississippi and Louisiana coast, folks park their vehicles on the elevated banks of I10 interstate.

The best you can do is put it on higher land, as far inland as you can get it.
