Hi-we are looking into it and it is sending us to dealer about 40 minutes away. Just curious if anyone was pleased/displeased? THanks-

It didn't work in my case; the Ford dealer they sent me to wanted $5k over MSRP. Granted that it's a specialty car.

I Costco to buy my 2011 Tahoe LT.
Easiest car transaction i ever had.
The price was already set before we even went to the dealership.
We were in and out of the dealership in less that 45 mins.

Six years ago I used the Costco Auto program. It referred me to a local dealer which gave me a no-haggle price of $600 or 800 (I forget which) over invoice. I was sure I can get a lower price than that so I shopped it and got an offer at invoice w/o any negotiation.

I think the Costco price is ok if you don't like to negotiate but just know that you are potentially leaving money on the table.

yes!
The prices, features were already discussed before we went to the dealer.
The dealer did try to talk us into a 2009 loaded to the sky for damn near the same price.
It was a smoking deal but we decided to go with a new car instead.

So I finally got a price from their "members only" price sheet and it is $500 off internet price-that is the way it works for this dealership for HOnda Long Island members-does not seem great considering I would have negotiated that anyway-I guess it will depend on where they are with my trade-

Would it matter if they gave you a great trade-in amount but a crappy price for the new car?

IMO, sell the car yourself or keep the two transactions separate even thought the dealer will try with all their might to tie the two together.

Because it's a honda
Honda and Toyota's forgetaboutit!
Your not going to get a great deal
Have your Costco rep punch in the numbers for a Chevy Malibu or a Chevy Impala.
I bet you'll find a better deal with more options
