Concerns that Chevrolet Cruzes could catch fire have caused General Motors (GM) to recall more than 475,000 of the popular compact sedans, the automaker said Friday...
All (Cruze) cars manufactured from September 2010 to May of this year are subject to the recall.
... It’s important for a company to create a branding identity--something all its products possess as an underlying, unifying theme.
GM has successfully identified and implemented theirs: combustibility.
General Motors is recalling all of its 2011 Chevrolet Cruze compact sedans to check for a steering problem as well as a condition in which an automatic transmission that appears to be in Park may still be in gear, increasing the chance of a roll-away accident.
Geez - the South African company that I posted about just had a lack of investors. Maybe they should get those designers on the job.
You might wants see about correcting that thread title. Not sure this is an "electric car" recall, just ANOTHER recall of conventional combustion engines...

Not when private industry does so with its own money.
But 'electric' makes baseless whining soooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier
The reality is it would be much easier to list all manufacturers who have never had a recall than those who have. GM cars, and especially electric GM cars are just popular bogeymen for the self-Righteous.

Since they took a boatload of taxpayer money, GM is a real threat, not a boogyman.

So did Lockheed-Martin, makers of the almost $500M fighter that is currently restricted to flight near bases due to systems problems. Why does the right constantly whine about GM, then call for throwing more $$$ at companies like Lockheed-Martin? GM is far from the only corporation to take boatloads of taxpayer money, what makes it the default scapegoat?
