100000 miles is coming up within the next year or so. I want something that I can go fast in and can also two stuff. I have a trailer I sometimes haul my victory motorcycle on and am going to be getting Polaris rzr utv soon. I have never owned a pickup before so I thought about but with the price of gas going up don't know if I could justify a pickup as a daily driver. I was thinking about a BMW x-5, you can go fast and haul the trailer all in one

Any other suggestions?

Go fast? Other than a few little toy cars all of them can go the speed limit.

The Toyota Tacoma and if you can find one left 2011 Rangers can get 21 mpg city if you want a truck. That BMW gets 16. I don't know why you need a new one anyway though, 100,000 miles is just broken in these days.

What's the budget?

2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS (last year made) can tow around 6k lbs and has about 400HP on tap. Lots of mods available to make this 'fast'. They are a low 14 second car stock, which is hauling for a heavy SUV.

If you want something new, for around $40k, I'd go with a new Dodge Durango R/T.

i'd ask what your current vehicle is. Then it's easier to see what other options have better or worse performance and can still haul a small trailer. And is 2wd acceptible or is there need for 4wd or awd based on where you live and travel.

Heck many of us here like to go fast, doesnt mean that always translates into what we need for the daily vehicle. So lets see what your driving now, to help narrow down suggestions

If all you're towing is a bike, you can get away with pretty much anything. Heck, I towed mine with a little xB. Worked fine.

If I want fast, I ride my motorcycle. Otherwise, my Grand Cherokee does everything I need it to do, including hauling around a double bike trailer if I need. I live in the 'burbs of DC...going fast means actually hitting the speed limit!

Required watching before you buy a new vehicle..

Drive Free. Retire Rich.

Of course if you current vehicle simply doesn't cut it anymore (for the towing) or is too expensive to maintain, then by all means buy a new one.

In today's economy it's unwise to "go fast".

Then there is the fact that unless you let your current car go to hell it is also unwise to go into debt for a different unpaid for car since 100,000 miles is nothing to worry about for todays cars.
