i got 6 out of 10. all of the ones that were about muscle cars, i got correct.
I would have, too, but I went back and changed three of my answers, so I only got 3 right! Almost all of the questions pertained to things before I was born, or at least before I was old enough to know any better!
I knew the answer to eight of the questions. Got #7 wrong (thought it was 1959) and took a guess at the Dukes of Hazard question and got it right. 9 out of 10.
Shoulda paid more attention to Hot Rod, Car Craft Car & Driver, etc. when I was younger; 4 0utta 10! What the heck is a Ford Thunderbolt???
Thunderbolts were designed to race in the super stock class and altered class A/FX (which were kind of the precursor to todays top fuel funny cars). They were stripped out Fairlanes (no heater, radios, plexiglass windows etc.) running Fords 289 hipo motor from the factory but were re-powered with the 427 motor for drag racing. Not too many were built and they were pretty kick ass cars. Do an internet search on them, they are pretty interesting.
I only got 4 out of 10 But in my defense, most of the questions were from a time before I was born. And a couple I was only off by a year - drat!
