That 2WD Ranger is probably as bad in the snow as anything you could drive. You could put 400 pounds of sand (5bags) in the bed. That would help. If permitted you could put on 4 studded tires. Or, as suggested, you could carry chains. If you buy chains, practice putting them on and taking them off BEFORE it snows. An enclosed public parking garage is the place to do this once it snows, BTW.

Don't be misled by the name All season. All season means good in dry and good in wet. If you want to go in snow you need snow tires.
You have probably the worst vehicle for snow driving, a two wheel drive pickup.
Get yourself some good snow tires and put a lot of weight such as sandbags in the back of your bed and good luck.

I was being wildly sarcastic. The "trade in" comment wasn't helpful in the least.

If I had a small pickup truck with no weight on the back and no 4x4, I'd sure as heck get snow tires. No snow tires on a vehicle like that sounds like a formula for becoming a hockey puck in the snow.

If you are going to live and drive in a place that has snow in the winter buy dedicated snow tires, whats your life worth?

A few sites to inform and a few videos to really impress Google
