I agree with Marmac on the road course. I could live without Sonoma for sure. The Glen is historical for the sport, so I can deal with this one staying on the calendar.
Bristol is my favorite. Love the race, love the way the track looks in aerial shots in comparison to the surrounding countryside. I've been to Busch/Nationwide races, but I can't wait for my oldest son to get a few years older so we can make a trip down to Bristol for a Cup race.
Of those that are still open, I'd say Irwindale (in CA), or as it's now called, "Toyota Speedway at Irwindale." It is a great short track where they still believe in ensuring the fans have a great experience at the races. It's also built in a way that even though it's short, it's still quite fast.
Other favorites are "The Bullring" at Las Vegas (NV) Motor Speedway, Colorado National Speedway (Erie, CO), and Roseville (at the Placer County Fairgrounds in California), because they're also great places to watch a race. I used to like Mesa Marin (Bakersfield, CA) and Saugus Speedway (Santa Clarita, CA), back when they were still active tracks, but sadly, both have been closed down for several years now.
