I'm bummed about Jr too, at first I thought he would be great at HMS. But it's put up or shut up, isn't it?
I'm just dumbfounded by it. Last year he had the best season overall in the 4th Hendrick car, and now he isn't even getting top 10's. He and Darian Grubb just seemed to click last season.
Aside from his luck, I wish he could get back on track. I was expecting this type of performance last year, not this year.
It will be a lot more exciting if the 18 can get in.
The thing with #18 is when he get's on a roll, look out! I think only the #48 team can match the #18 team for teams that can steam roll the competition.
The only difference thus far though, is when the #18 messes up, he has a hard time getting back on track. It will come with experience. When the #48 team has a bad day, they bounce right back.

Yep, its all the experience factor. I still think the #18 will make it into the chase. A win today or top 5 is mandatory.
Besides Dale Jarrett, did anyone notice that Johnson beat Vickers (leader) by a half car length to the start/finish line on the lap 40 to go restart at Michigan?
DJ called it out 3-4 times, but there were no replays and no mention by anyone else at ESPN about it. DJ finally gave up.
I rewound the DVR and saw JJ out ahead before crossing the line.
What's the rule on that? JJ took the lead from then until he ran out of gas.
