I record every race on a DVR and then fast forward through the commercials. Sometimes boring stretches as well. It's the only way I'll watch a race any more.

What it basically comes down to is the fact that we had a pretty fast race this year. Just shy of 3 and a half hours. The commercial load is sold and has to be aired. Whether the race takes 3.5 or 4.5 hours.


So, when you have a quicker race, it seems like there's far more commercials, when in reality, it's about the same number, just aired in a more compressed timeframe.
