Hate to hear that about Brian. But that begs the question, if he misses half the season and his replacement wins a race during Vickers absence, do you bring Vickers back when he is healthy, bumping the replacement driver out of the CHASE?
It's probably a long shot but not out of the realm of possibilities... I have to think that MWR would NOT bring Vickers back, at least not in the Aaron's car, if that replacement driver is in the Chase due to an early season win.
Was bummed to hear about Vickers. Not a big fan of the guy but when it comes to health issues he sure is snakebit.
A couple days ago NASCAR announced that they're expanding the Sprint Unlimited (Busch Clash) field to include last season's chase drivers and any driver who's ever won the Daytona 500 pole and competed full-time the season before. Gee, I wonder who that was for? (Hint: Go DADDY!)
Also on the Sprint front, the company has announced they're pulling out of NASCAR when their contract expires at the end of the 2016 season.

I agree. I think it would be awfully hard to sit down a driver who has basically locked in a ticket to the chase, and risk Vickers or the car (ie Sponsor) not being in the chase. It would be a tough call indeed.
More changes to the Sprint Unlimited. They might as well just let the whole field run the race.
Perhaps Brian France is remembering his days in Pee Wee baseball every kid get a trophy.
past Daytona 500 pole winners was added to primarily allow Danica in the race and I think this has more to do with NASCAR trying to bring more interest to the race vs placating the goDaddy sponsor...
With Hendrick power under her hood, she certainly has a chance in this race. The only races I remember Danica leading were Daytona and Talladega so i think NASCAR is thinking, if they can get her in the Unlimited and she were to actually win that race then NASCAR would get a lot of PR because of it.. If they wanted PR, they should try to get Darrell Wallace a big name sponsor and a better team besides Roush. The kid can actually drive, unlike Danica. Wallace vs. Elliott will be a hell of a battle to watch this year.
Wallace had the best truck this year and did not win the championship;so not so sure its going to translate in nationwide. The competition levels just goes up from here and the races are longer and more power in each step.

Disagree with that. The Roush Nationwide or whatever it is this year, program is just as compititive as the other teams. Cup not so much. Did you forget Stenhouse won two years running but is a back marker in Cup.
Keep in mind if you are comparing Roush to Hendricks, Chase Elliott is Hendricks "new boy" and his cars and team are Cup quality.
