I moved to NC from the northeast to be close to the tracks and after going to each track in my area I stopped going. I'm not going to sit in the cheap seats just to be there and the good seats are too expensive anymore.

Typical response!

Disagree with the policies of this president and you automatically become a hater.

I don't hate anyone.

If you think the present day economy has nothing to do with ticket sales, you are delusional.

No, I don't think it is funny. I think it is a prime factor in how people are hurting and no longer have time for sports and amusement.

Here's an idea: go back to the old point system with the new point structure.

Now for the conspiracy: This is NASCAR's attempt to stop the JJ dynasty and get over88ated his first cup.

After reading the article, I am in favor of some of the changes. I like the elimination idea but I can see how that totally squashes the idea of consistency. It would create some serious hype for the final race though. I like 16 cars in the chase and rewarding drivers who win races with chase spots over drivers who have not won a race.

Personally, the Chase has never been that important to me, maybe because my driver is never in contention for a title. I want my driver to make the chase and that alone seems to be enough satisfaction for me.

My fix comes from each race.. a good finish, a rare win means more to me and always has than a points championship.. again, spoken from a guy whose driver has never won a champion and likely never will...

Now the NFL is considering changing the way it scores points.

I noted one announcer yesterday stated that the NFL tinkers with their rules more than any other sport and I thought, they must not consider NASCAR a sport because no sport tinkers more than NASCAR, by a long shot!

Fair weather fans are going to come and go regardless but hardcore NASCAR junkies are not gonna leave the sport by changing the points system, they may not like it that much but they are not gonna bail on it..

That's pretty much what it once was; tow your car to track; if you win you win a trophy and perhaps enough to pay gas cost.
