A recent story on Bleacher Report is saying that Jeff Gordon's career is just about done. Seeing how the other three Hendrick drivers have all been in the top ten in the first three races, Jeff is floundering.

He looked strong in Daytona, but fell at the end when it was time to race. Poor showings in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

I had thought the momentum of winning in Homestead last year would carry over to 2013. Jeff really needed a good start this year to get that elusive 5th championship.

Mark Martin is still driving well at his age, so it is possible that Jeff can turn things around. Like to see Jeff qualify on the pole at Bristol!

I don't think its over. He just won 4 races ago. He's just really hot or really cold.

I think he's still driven to want that 5th trophy and young enough to get it done.

With any athlete, father time is one thing you can't beat. But I feel that Jeff still has a lot left in the tank.

JG has done a lot; multiple championships, third on the all time win list, but I don't think he has number 5 in him.

He's not done. There are always drivers that have a slow start. I thought it was laughable that they ranked him behind Jr. who has won 2 races in four years. Kahne is even debatable.

Sure Jeff can drive but he doesn't have the drive. Nothing more to prove, he was top dog until he brought JJ along.
IMO, Hendrick pecking order,(Ricks favorites)
KK
JJ
Jr.
JG

never count jeff gordon out until he decided to retire. he had a down season last year, but he still made the chase.

And who knows how that would have went if he didn't have problems in Chicago.

Tony Stewart starts off awful every year and gets it done, so can Gordon. He's still no2 at Hendricks based on talent. Kayne is debatable I agree but he's never won a championship. The story contradicts itself anyway. Gordon's done, yet, dominated his Duel race and was in the thick of things all Daytona500. /shrug Just some guy trying to make a name for himself at the expense of someone elses career.
