My dad use to take me to see Ron Hornaday at the Saugus Speedway...he either knew him or a friend of his that also raced there. I forget.
I remember the awesome figure 8 train racing with the dummy car in the middle and the person steering in the back...haha
I also liked the demo derby. I must have been 8 years old...around 1990 or so.

Now that 2007 season is over, we can start looking forward to 2008! Any predictions for next year with all the changes, (Jr, Toyota, Hornish, etc.)? I was happy to see the #2 have an awesome finish to the year! Sam Hornish will have a great team of mentors if he joins the Penske team. Anyone looking forward to another fun year of racing?

I can't wait....took 2nd place(-60) in fantasy and took $40....I want to win the big pot next year. My prediction is JGR will win it, with either Stewart or Hamlin, but all 3 racers will be in the chase. I think Toyota will go strong for them.

One of the neat things about the Sport is that it is one of the few where many of us actually root for many drivers at the same time - although I think Gordon and Earnhardt fans are more dedicated and loyal directly to them......
