Out of all the rule changes in NASCAR, why in the hell cant someone come up with a rule to freeze the lap count under caution when there are only a handful of laps to go. Out of the last 10 laps today, how many.. 3 were run under green? Yeah.. that gives someone in the back a heck of a long time to get to the front.
If this tandem crap continues (which it will) and now with FI coming, I can see A LOT of people finally throwing in the towel on NASCAR.
They essentially did that when they came up with the G-W-C idea. I didn't see the race, because I'm one who's already thrown in the towel (pretty much). I still follow it, but not near as closely as I used to. I may attend a race in person, but have recently given up season tickets I've held for 14 years. Having grown up attending weekly racing events in the Northeastern US, I've come to the conclusion that I'd rather go back to spending my "racing" money supporting the local short tracks more regularly.
At least you didn't see them circle the track 10 times under yellow and then see the yellow/checkered.

I agree with you but let's not get carried away here, no NASCAR fan is ever going to switch over and watch that farce they call F1 racing.
I think if a caution comes out at 10 laps or less it should be changed to a red immediately until the cleanup is completed.
Either throw a red with <10 to go OR slow the pace car down to a snails pace. That would buy some time on a superspeedway (not so much at the smaller tracks).
