Scuttlebutt on the 'net has NASCAR talking about moving the Nationwide Race in Indianapolis from Indianapolis Raceway Park to IMS. Seriously?
The Brickyard 400 has had massive problems with declining attendance the last 5-6 years. Last year the stands were less than 50% full, and now NASCAR wants to add ANOTHER boring stock car race at IMS? How dumb are these morons?

You got it all wrong.
It's not that the stock car race at IMS is boring. It's IMS that's boring.

Yes I agree, IMS is just like Pocono as far as spectating. You can't see the cars across the track plus the lack of banking does not allow for side by side racing.
What would be great would be Indy cars at Bristol.
Morons. They're obviously desperate to make the Brickyard 400 a marquee event. It never has been and it never will be.
The number of events at the track during a race weekend isn't going to change the fact that the Brickyard 400 is a boring race (especially in the new car).
The pack gets strung out, the leader becomes untouchable because of the stupid aero push, and the only times you typically see lead changes are during pit stop sequences and within a couple laps of a restart. It's really a narrow-track version of Fontana.
Maybe the NASCAR heads have gotten into the vagisil again.....
