TF, FC, PS are thrilling to watch but when electronics take over throttle control of the car the skill level of drivers is gone.
Nothing more boring then to watch a car take off real hard only to have the throttle back off automatically and then adjust itself so that the car runs a dialed in time. It that "REAL" racing?

Speed shifting a 4 speed used to be a real talent, remember Ronnie Sox now if you run a manual they laugh at you.

My four speed dual quad posi-traction 409 (Beach Boys)

Nobody ever made a song about a Powerglide

I'm with you. I've been following all the off season stories on NHRA.COM. Looking forward to see how Alan Johnson's new Pro Stock car runs. He reportedly went 6.498 @ 213.06 in testing recently. Either way, I'm ready!

I don't run powerglides either! LOL Today's Lenco's and Liberty trans are awesome. The Liberty takes less power to drive it, but unless this brand new Liberty trans is different, the lenco is more relieable. I miss pulling the levers on the lenco! You are correct about Ronnie Sox!!! There may never be another person as good with a stick as him!

I did, till they went to 1000'. Throw in the stupid NASCAR copycat countdown and it's just not the same anymore.

I DVR'd it, watched about half and deleted it. They need some major changes over there.

Maybe I should have asked if anyone enjoyed drag racing with their car?
I don't mind watching, but I have to get involved in it! I've had a bad day with the race car to the point I loaded up the car, unhooked from the trailer and bracket raced the truck! Would you believe I won with the truck!!! Maybe I should have just ran it all along?
