Present day, Mike Joy all the way. He cut his teeth doing PA duty at local tracks and worked his way through MRN and pit road reporting for CBS to get where he is today. The guy is as smooth as polished glass.
Before Mike became the lead announcer at CBS, it was a tossup between Ken Squier (the guy who noticed Mike AND helped put NASCAR on the map), and ESPN's Bob Jenkins.
While I admire DW's experience, his on-air presentation drives me up the wall. He's the John Madden of NASCAR, complete with hokey catchphrases and a penchant for stating the obvious like he's dropping an earth-shattering revelation on us. Really? You want to be in first place when the checkered flag flies? Wow...thanks DW, I don't know where I'd be without your infinite wisdom.
Between Commander Boogity, Chris "I Kid Because I Care" Myers, and that STUPID f*&^ing half-baked and played-out Digger gimmick, Mike Joy is about the only thing that makes FOX's coverage tolerable.

Agree DW can take it a little too far at times and Myers (and Digger) just need to go away but one thing's for sure. Fox's coverage (including SPEED) is far better than TNT's and light years ahead of what ESPN/ABC produces.
Hmmmmm, Personally they can all take a walk and then I can watch the race!
