I wonder what Dale Earnhardt fans will do when JJ get's his 8th championship in 2013? They weren't too happy with Jeff Gordon when he passed his win record at 'Dega a few years ago.

There will be about 2,000 in attendance by then.

Unfortunately Kentucky Dad is right! After these next two races, Cali & Char...It will be a formality. I see a Win @ Cali and a modest 2nd place @ Char. Nite Nite...If thats the case, I will watch one more race this year, Dega...

On to Baseball!! LETS GO YANKEES .......

What can you say? the guy is a wheelman. A lot of people say yeah it's all Knauss. BS, I say you could put him in 5 or 6 other cars out there and he'd do the same thing.

I was just arguing with some folks on another racing board and they said w/o the chase system Gordon would have been Champ in 06 and Edwards in 08, not JJ. Yeah , well if the Chase would have started a year earlier JJ would be Champ in 03 instead of 1 win Kenseth and JJ missed being Champ in 04 by a mere 8 points to Kurt.

Oh and BTW....Let's go Rays

48 will more than likely win it again, but the 18 team will be right at their heels. The chase races suit JJ really well, and that is the crappy part of it.

And apparently that's how NASCAR wants it.

I was thinking about this over my Wheaties this morning...

In my mind, I don't even think about a series Champion anymore. I like to see who wins on Sunday and I do check the points during the season. But once we get to the Chase and the post-season, I couldn't care less who wins.

Don't know if it's the contrived nature of how they determine who the champ is these days or what.

What I truly want to know is that if JJ actually does win (AGAIN) this year, how far will attendance and TV rating drop next season?
