Don't know much about the stores in Austin yet but IKEA (Roundrock) is very well priced for furniture.

North Carolina Discount Furniture Stores NC Online Furniture Shopping Outlet which has the same stuff as louis shanks and jw and 40% off. Louis shanks has a 50% off one item sale once a year and typically have 40% off sales pretty often.
I like Z-gallerie in orange county (ca) but the one that opened in Austin just doesnt seem to be as nice.

I couldn't remember this place but coincidentally just heard their annual commercial this morning...
Four Hands Furniture is a wholesaler that supplies Pottery Barn. They have an annual 75% off warehouse sale. They do not sale to the public except for one weekend a year and this weekend is it for '07. So if you like PB stuff, you might want to check it out...
