We are considering relocating to Austin. How far is Senna Hills (driving time, in normal traffic) from downtown? What zip code feeds that area and which are the best elementary and middle schools there? Could someone please highlight both the draws and drawbacks of the development?

Senna Hills is 78733 and it would take about 15 minutes, if that long, to get downtown. It's just West of 360. It's Eanes School district which is the highest rated district in the area. It's a great community with preowned homes as well as new construction homes. Many areas for views. A handful of the houses have basements, but you'll be paying for them. Great area. I'm about 5 minutes from there.

I live off Cuernavaca and Bee cave which is slightly east of Senna Hills. I can get to downtown in 20 minutes when there is little to no traffic. It does take me 5 minutes to get to Bee Cave Rd. In the morning, between 7:15 and 7:45, Bee Cave backs up considerably and it can add as much as 10-15 minutes to your commute. If you are flexible about what time you leave the house you can avoid this pretty easily.
