Hi all,

Sorry in advance, I know that this generally has been answered in other forums threads - just that some old ones came up when I did the search.

Our family is looking to move relatively close to Cedar Park (we have family there), and would love some advice from locals that might be in the same general situation.

Basically, we have two young children (2yrs, 6mos) and are looking for a place with a good community feel. Not knowing anyone other than our parents, we're looking for a place that almost has a community aspect "built in".

Perhaps something with a nice pool area, good pre-schools nearby, etc.

We've been looking at Twin Creeks, have thought about Avery Ranch and Buttercup Creek, and considered Steinert Ranch. We're generally looking for houses in the 250-350 range

We'd love any thoughts/advice on:
- Any other great communities in the area that we should check out?
- Recommendations on what to look for/avoid? Any negative stories about certain communities?

Thanks so much! Also - feel free to just respond with a link to an existing forums thread I may have missed ....

Three communities that we had looked at in Cedar Park are:
Red Oaks
Ranch at Brushy Creek
Silver/Forest Oaks
All of 'em are strategically situated communities with easy access to major roads, decent schools and are well-planned communities. Almost all major builders (for the price range you are looking for) have construction going on in one or more of these communities.
