Hi Everyone,

OK I think I narrowed it down to two complexes - does anyone have an opinion on (either complex or the area, the commute to downtown (S Congress), what's nearby etc)

Tintara Creek
At 2222 and 620 intersection.

AMLI at Lantana Ridge
6636 W William Cannon Dr

Thank you!!

I dont know about either complex, but I always check ripoff report and Apartment Ratings - Apartments for Rent with Ratings and Reviews from Actual Renters. I always take whatever people say with a grain of salt because they only complain if things are really good or really bad. HTH

We lived at Amli at Lantana Ridge (although it was nine years ago) and it was great. A friend from grad school (in Seattle) also lived there about five years ago and thought it was great - one of those crazy coincidences to find out that someone you know used to live in the same complex in a city 2200 miles away. Neither of us ever had any problems and the complex was clean and well managed. Again, it was 1999 so things may have changed.

Yikes those reviews are scary. Although I feel like most people who seek out a website to leave reviews are usually mad about something.

Jennibc - did you commute to downtown from AMLI? How was it? I realize it was 9 years ago, but was there anything nearby?

Thanks!

We didn't commute (we both worked at Motorola across the street) With no traffic it took about 10 minutes to drive into downtown. There were lots of things close by at the time. I was down for a visit last spring and I a saw that much of the open space along South Mopac has been developed so there is even a Costco just a couple of miles away now. It is not in a "walkable" neighborhood per se, but it was fine for us and the surrounding are was peaceful and had a lot of natural beauty.

It would be best to get more feedback from someone that has lived there in the past couple of years because things may have changed dramatically since then. But the same company owns it and I would think its business and customer service philosophy would not have changed that much but I could be wrong. Good luck with you decision!
