Who provides your water?

Just for general info, the city of Leander takes 3 winter months (Dec, Jan, Feb) of water usage ('cause you're less likely to be watering or filling a pool) and averages it to get your wastewater usage for the next year. For new residents, they have a flat rate (about $28) until they get actual usage.

city of austin...
I'm a new resident and so I think they are charging me a flat fee.
They do calculate the same way as u mentioned.
So do I need to wait till the end of winter months?

How much does it come on an average?

my bill

water--38
waste water-36
solid waste --18
drainage/street--12

Is the above one normal for a household of 3(2 adults and a 4yr old)?

Your bill looks very average. Mine is about the same except my wastewater charge is $30.69. Yours is probably a flat fee right now. They do calculate the amount based on three months of water usage. The months are mid November through March depending on your billing cycle. Here is the info from the City of Austin website:

I am not sure on the exact nature of the drainage fee, but I think it is the fee used to sustain the storm water system(s) and street cleaning, etc.
