If you don't mind a "little" drive come on out to Marble Falls. The Hill Country Community Theatre (HCCT.org, actually it's in Cottonwood Shores) is always looking for volunteers. They're a great theatre that puts on 5 plays per year, plus some other things done in conjunction with The Harmony School of Performing Arts and a local Christian Academy.

I know there's a theatre in Georgetown too, but the name eludes me at the moment. Thursday's XL section of the Statesman always has a lot of theatre listings, actually a fair amount in Austin. I just know the two out in the "burbs".

The Paramount is always looking for volunteers. They a do a great job of guiding you to your seat. I've considered volunteering given the quality of many of the shows.

Why not Zachary Scott? It's the big one in Austin. http://www.zachscott.com/about/employ-audition-volunteer.html (broken link)

Or Zilker Hillside theater : http://www.zilker.org/

I believe the "Way off Broadway" group in Leander takes volunteers.
