Does anyone know of a good roofer who works in the Circle C area? I think my house needs the roof repaired.

Thank you.

Call Mark at:

:: Ranch Hand Roofing ::

He's been around for a few years - and is competent.

Would this be a good referral for Hutto area too? Just went out in the garage and found a leak. We think it's coming in by the flashing because the roof is in great condition. We need someone to come out and have a look. Any referrals would be appreciated if the guy doesn't do Hutto area. Thank you.

Used J-Conn roofing in 2011 for a new roof and we have had no issues.

I used D & H Roofing, which is in Manchaca. I also have had no issues. They worked well with my insurance. (512-291-5701) I suggest that you read a lot, know the issues, then get 3 or 4 estimates, and talk with each one about their recommendations and how they would do the job. I talked with a couple of roofers who recommended things that I did not agree with.

Ok, thank you. Yes, I'll do some homework...just don't like this kind of thing. I contacted three companies now and hopefully will get a good estimate. The roof isn't old so there must be some kind of opening somewhere as water has it's own path. Ugh. The front also faces North and it seems the rain was pounding from that direction. Thanks again.

I highly recommend Ideal Home Services out of Elgin. Steve was the only roofer out of many that was able to fix a leak in our tin roof that plagued us for years. He services both Austin and Hutto.

Re: Roofing Contractor: Please consider "Roofing Contractor Solutions", based in Lakeway. They do all forms of roofing: shingles, metal, tile, repairs, emergencies, etc., and they are reasonable!
Find more information about them online here, from Angie's List: Roofing Contractor Solutions | Austin, TX 78734 | Angies List
The owner's name is "Johnny" - Let him know I sent y'all ...
[apologies for the shameless plug, but these guys are really good!]

Thanx! ... TC ...

Thanks Moonlady. When you dealt with Ideal did you have to go through a thing called "Home Advisor" first?

The "Home Advisor" had my phone number, (which is suppose to be a private number) and my email address. I asked them how they had my email and she said I used them in the past in 2002 for a plumbing issue. I told her we didn't even live here then. She kept insisting I used them in 2002 and I said, "look, I'm telling you we weren't even living here then!" To which she replied, "Oh, I'm sorry, I mean 2012."

Unless I'm totally senile I do not remember EVER using "Home Advisor".

I called A-Tex located in Hutto. He came out, looked at it, fixed it AND it was a reasonable cost!! A real go-getter! Some of the other places I called for estimates were not even coming out till the end of next week. One place wanted $200 just to come out, another said they would call "sometime" next week and then it would be a two hour window to wait. I am very happy with the outcome, plus we were able to go local. Happy, happy.

Thank you for your replies. Perhaps I'm learning how to do this afterall so I won't have to jump to the forums every time.
