Builder upgrades are always way overpriced. I know some builders like KB use these wood doors and depending on how your home faces it can and will fade quickly. My child care provider lives in one of those communities and her home is less than 3 years old. The garage door has water stains and is faded as she has a western exposure.

Just something to be aware of. I always recommend to my clients to be careful of the builder upgrades. You can easily jack up the price of the house and in the event that you need to move in a few years you will be upside down and have to come to the table when you are ready to sell. So look at things you can do yourself. IE: most builders use cheap $20 ceiling fans and charge about $200. For the same price you can get an upgraded Hunter fan with a remote that will last for many more years. So be careful with your upgrades as they can add up fast.

Best of luck to you.

Default Faux Wood Garage Doors

We had our garage and front doors faux painted to look like real wood. Look up the site Moderator cut: new members may not post recommendations, please use DM. The home turned out really beautiful and it all looks like real wood without the high cost and maintenance issues of wood. They are in several states and travel for custom jobs.
