Hi all, curious if anyone has any suggestions for an in home (my home) petsitter? Ours is sadly moving away and we need someone in November. I have two medium/large dogs, one of which takes medication. Any recommendations you might have would be great!

I would give your general area (two major cross streets). Hey.....you might find a CD'er....98% of us love dogs.

These folks will make in-home visits, if that's what you're looking for. They are mainly Great Hills and north up to Leander, east to Hutto...with most of their clients being in the north north Austin and Cedar Park area.

I have several friends in Austin who swear by Harlequin Pet Services in S Austin, and have used her for years. She books up early for holidays, so don't dawdle.

thanks, everyone! I'm in Round Rock and actually meant to add that I'd like someone to stay overnight and pet sit, not just drop ins. I get paranoid something horrible might happen at night and no one is there to help

We haven't used them yet, but booking with Pets are People, Too for a trip in mid-October. So far they've had excellent customer service. Their rates are competitive with everyone else around, too. I think they have sitters all over the area.

I wonder how much someone would charge to stay 24 hours in a home with a pet? ($200? $300?)

Round Rock is huge....20+ miles east to west. Why so cryptic? If some is going to "pet sit", they probably don't want to schlep across town to spend a day & a night with a pooch.

I'm not sure how I'm being cryptic? Because I don't want to leave my dogs crated for 23 hours a day and have someone stop by for 2 30 minute visits? This isn't an unusual ask. Pet sitters typically charge $45-$75/ an overnight, if it is a service they offer. I'm just looking for referrals from folks in the area...which i thought was the point of this forum?

and for someone that pet sits for a living, it's not "schlepping across town to spend a day & a night with a pooch". it's their job.

If you don't have anything helpful to say, don't say anything at all.
