My husband, 17 year old son and myself will be moving to Austin in September. Our jobs are centrally located in Eanes ISD. We want to rent an apartment until we get used to the area. Our price range is within $1800-2200 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. We would love:

All apts along the mopac frontage btwn bee caves (2244) and 360. Eastside off spyglass, Barton skyway and Barton's bluff. Westside by Barton creek mall off tammaron I think fall into EISD.

There is also a Gables at Westlake apartment complex off of 360 if you would prefer living along 360 as opposed to Mopac.

It sounds like you're going to rent for a year in Eanes so your kid can graduate from Westlake. If you can sign a 6 month until Feb, then month to month, you can make it to graduation in May. Small price to pay to get Westlake on the applications for college. After that, I wouldn't buy a house in Eanes, because you've already gotten the best use out of it.
