I have not been to Zilker but in RR the lights run the entire length of Old Settler's Park. I know a few people who tried to go to Zilker but it was so long of a wait that the park was closed by the time they got to the entrance. They went to RR the next day. I and my daughter and my sister's family enjoyed the RR lights.

For Zilker? Try Austin High School and One Texas. I was in the Trail of Lights 5K and got there at 4pm and got to park right inside the park.

went to round rock because they had a carnival with rides at the end. The total wait was about an hour and then about 30-45minutes to drive through the trail.

Well, The Trail of Lights is incomparably more popular without a doubt. For that reason, if you'd like more elbow room, RR lights would be better.

I've heard nothing but positive reviews for rockin lights. Sure, it's not as big as Austin's, but it's closer and us locals love it. Seems like the first yr has been a success. Way to go round rock.

I would like to see the Rocking Lights next year but would like to run through it instead of car ride through it.
