This bug has become a pest for us, it's everywhere in the house.
Specially active at night. It flies like a mosquito and bites like one.
But, I don't think it sucks any blood, just an irritant.

Can anyone please identify this one for us so that we can buy
the right spray? I have put a penny next to it to give you an
idea of how small it really is. Thanks in advance!

The only thing I've experienced much here of that tiny size is fruit flies, but those don't look like drosophila. Thus, I have nothing intelligent to add.

The Texas Agricultural Extension service would be a good place to get a definitive answer. Texas has great Ag Ext. services out of College Station. They'll even help stock your pond with fish if you have a pond. This seems to be true of most states and it's something most people don't take advantage of. Whatever state you're in, you have an Ag Extension service that's usually run by whatever university is dominant in Agriculture and Technology in your state, and they're awesome to work with.
