This is my last post, I am sorry!
We are looking to move from SA, from a neighborhood whose HOA is pretty much worthless. We are looking to move to a neighborhood (gathering ideas before we talk to a realtor) somewhere in north austin- maybe Cedar Park or Pflugerville, where an HOA makes sure cars are not always in the street, yards are taken care of and there is great pride in the neighborhood.
Is this realistic at all in general?

Thanks!

Hi there, I moved from SA also to Cedar Park Leander area and its a real hit or miss here as to your HOAs and how strong or weak they are. You have more folks here that do not want one or a strong one and then folks that do. You are just going to have to drive thru the hood that you are looking at and see what is around. You know the yards are going to be brown or in some cases still green cause these folks really don't know what conservation is when it comes to water compared to SA. Good luck and dm me if you have some questions. Welcome

We lived in Austin (Cedar Park, Leander too) for 8 years before moving to SA. We are moving back to Austin after 4 years in SA next Spring as SA has not grown on us and we miss Austin terribly!

River Place is probably one of the stricter ones. Our friends that lived there said you had to park all cars inside your garage, had to put trashcans away very soon after garbage pick-up etc.... We lived in Twin Creeks and it was a fairly strong HOA at the time, plus the upkeep was good with landscaping company. Deer Creek Ranch is nice. Canyon Creek as well. What problems are you experiencing in your current neighborhood?

Not to down talk Pflugerville, but I would look other places first....it reminds me a lot of most of SA.

Pflugerville has grown ALOT in 4 years time. It has no resemblence to San Antonio at all.
