Is it me or has it been unseasonably mild this summer?

I think it's been tolerable. I spent a lot more time outdoors this summer than last.

Not at all, if anything I'd say this summer is probably a lot closer to "normal" than the past two summers. It seems to me that we generally stay in the 90's with a couple of weeks of continuous 100+ (and a few scattered days mixed in). Generally little rain in late July/Aug/early Sept (just the occasional thunderstorm that literally blows through) usually resulting in some level of drought conditions.

Last year was way way warmer and dryer than normal, the year before was way way wetter than normal. This year has been more of what I expect.

Not really. I like to think this was a normal summer. The last 2 summers were pretty darn hot!

this makes me so happy that you all think this summer was closer to normal. I've been here for three summers now and I have been really loving the last five months! The last two summers I was so miserable compared to now. I don't care what the temperature is at the end of this month. I'm going to start baking and wearing sweaters....with the AC cranked.

I have to agree, this summer has been pretty damn nice. It did't get really hot until well into July. I know this is a subjective thing though.

Compared to the last 2 summers this has been wonderful.

Now if I could only open my windows and enjoy the breeze. Damn my neighbors dog.

It has been more humid - along with that we have had ample rainfall and it's actually stayed green all summer, which is NOT typical. But along with the lower humidity comes higher temps and having to water the grass to keep it from dying, so given the choice, I'd have a repeat of this summer every time if we could!
