Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum, but let me get right to it. My fiance and I plan to move to Atlanta. We are looking to get a basic one bedroom apt no more than 600 a month. We pay 900 a month for a one bed here in fort lauderdale, fl. We would like to find a place in either dunwoody, buckhead, around midtown or sandy springs. We will have around 8,000 to move with. I want to get a job video editing, but I shoot and direct as well. Honestly I would take a job at blockbuster or whatever at first long as I get up there. My fiancee and I are in our lat 20s with no kids. My fiance wants to get
work in hair removal, since she will have her electrology license. She will get more education in the skin care field and wants to work in a spa doing facials and eventually wants to become a make up artist. I want to be a music video and film director eventually. We both plan to further our education once we get settled. I'm nervous about moving to a new place and I just want to know opinons from people that live there. My father lives there and also my uncle and cousin on mmy mother's side. I think it's time to take a risk, I been in south florida all my life and I long to experience new things like seeing the seasons change. I been to atlanta a few times and I love it so much I didn't want to leave everytime I went. I just want advice on my move. I would like to be confident that this is the right move. I have heard about people that go up there and can't find a job and they have tie move back. However, those people are not in the same field as we are. I also write and produce hip hop and r and b music, so selling beats may be another soruce of income. The main thing I'm worried about is money. I can handle everything else. If I left any info out that would help advise me, please let me know. Thank you in advance for all your help.
