I am a recent college grad moving into Gwinnett County next month to work. I will be renting for a year before I start the buying process to make sure I like the area. I want rent for the year to be as reasonable as possible in order to continue to save to purchase a house next year. Where can I find very inexpensive rentals in Gwinnett county that are in a safe relatively quiet area? Yes I know I am asking for a bit much but I want to be able to tuck away as much as I can for a down payment for the year.

I don't know what to suggest because Gwinnett county is large. From Lawrenceville in the east to Buford in the NW corner there are homes for rent in all price ranges.

There is a sticky at the top of the Atlanta forum--'Moving to Atlanta'--if you answer the questions other posters can respond more specifically.

Yeah, Gwinnett is GA's largest county in land area and second largest in population...so you might have to narrow your focus a bit.
Where will your work be located?
