I will be moving to Atlanta in July/August (considering Marietta/Cobb County), and would like to know the pros/cons about the city. I have an eleven-year old. Looking for an apartment under $700 (2 bdrm). Also looking for employment. Any suggestions or leads would be helfpul

Marietta/Smyrna is a suburb of Atlanta--NW of the city, located in Cobb County.

Many who relocate research the schools and try to find housing within an attendance zone for a particular school. Others locate near a place of employment due to the traffic problems in the Atlanta area.
It might be difficult to find a 2 BDR apt for $700 in this area. There are problems along Delk Rd--high crime area.
